At the distances of 17 Km. from Parikia you arrive to Marpissa the largest village of this district, with full tourist amenities. Built on low hill near to the coast,it sparkles with its traditional whitewashed houses, windmills, narrow lanes, and many old churches lovingly preserved by the priest.

To the east rises the hill of Kefalos, with the ruins of the 15 th century Venetian castle and the 16 th century monastery of St. Antonios, with remarkable icon screen. It is a pleasant 20 minute walk up the hill, and the view from the top is truly breathtaking.

Less than 1 Km. away, Piso Livadi on the coast is a picturesque fishing port and well equipped resort, with a sparkling tree-lined beach, and plenty of fresh fish. The small port of Piso Livadi is linked by boats to Naxos , Mykonos , Santorini and other islands, offering the opportunity of various short excursions and cruises.

Nearby, the long beach of Logaras, awarded with a blue flag, is ideal for swimming, snorkeling, spear-fishing and other water sports, with every amenity for your stay.

A little further lies the Pounda, another famous sandy beach. And next come two of the best water sports beaches in Paros , Tserdakia or Nea Chrissi Akti ( New Golden Beach ), where the annual P.W.A. World cup took place, and the longer Chrissi Akti ( Golden Beach ), both with blue flags and excellent facilities. Further south lies Drios, with luxuriant vegetation and abundant spring waters, a picturesque village with lovely beaches and inland places fro pleasurable walks, attracting many visitors year after year.
